Research lines
- The group is working in different aspects, but our research line is specifically in immunogenetic aspects of preeclampsia and other pregnancy complication as recurrent abortion. We focus in placentation and decidualization of the placenta as an important aspect that can support some physiopathology concepts about.
Major equipment available
- PCR real time thermocycler, bioanalyzer, gel electrophoresis, dissecting microscope, multi-viewer microscopes by camara (Leyca), immunofluorescence microscope, horizontal laminar flow hood, pseudoconfocal microscope, basic unit to cell culture, Luminex, flow citometry, manual immunohistochemistry stainer.
Techniques available
- Western blot, extraction of RNA and DNA from any specimen, real time PCR, electrophoresis, cell culture, gross analysis in Pathology, histology, special stains, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence microscopy, flow citometry and ELISAs.
General interest of collaboration
- Participate in researches for national and international grants and collaborative projects. Send and receive students and investigators .
